Using ResearchMatch.org to Support Research Recruitment

What is ResearchMatch.org?

Getting Started

Creating an Account

Create an account and follow the prompt to register. You MUST use your “umb.(不允许使用Gmail或非umb电子邮件).

Conducting a Feasibility Assessment

Using the ResearchMatch search-building tools, 研究人员输入搜索标准以评估ResearchMatch数据库中感兴趣的研究人群的可用性.

Criteria include (but are not limited to):

  • Age
  • Gender
  • Physical characteristics (height, weight, BMI)
  • Race and Ethnicity

  • Medication history
  • Twin status
  • English or Spanish language

Recruiting Research Subjects

Securing IRB Approval

Specify use of RM in investigator protocol. To request approval to use this tool, 研究人员必须在提交给IRB的文件中包括一份研究者协议，明确要求使用ResearchMatch作为招募方法.

If the study is NOT health-related, the IRB cannot approve the use of ResearchMatch, and you will be told to withdraw your request. Therefore, it is important that you 在提交的IRB文件中阐明您的研究与健康有关.

Uploading Study-Specific Information
